Twenty-Seventh Sunday in Ordinary Time

Today is the Twenty-Seventh Sunday in Ordinary Time.

Today is also the Feast of the Guardian Angels.

Each generation of believers finds different things to be grateful for, different reasons to remain faithful. Each generation combats the ravages of sin, combats the sense of unworthiness attached to us because of sin. We’re always wanting to be first, to be in first class. We’re alive, were human. We are given one important choice in our lives. We are given the choice to love and serve God or to not love and not serve.

Serving God, loving God happens according to God’s plan, God’s schedule. We are not in control.

Each Saint presents the story of a life that accepted God, a life that loved God, a life that made sacrifices for God.

Learn how to be generous and grateful. Learn how to follow the commandments and live simply, divinely as Jesus Christ taught us in the Beatitudes. Our parents and grandparents believed in goodness, holiness, kindness. Now is the time for us to believe, to share our beliefs with others.
